About Dan McHale
Dan McHale, P.G., is a Senior Hydrogeologist with more than 25 years of experience supporting complex environmental, remediation, and infrastructure projects across the United States and internationally. He has provided senior technical leadership and project management for hydrogeologic investigations, groundwater modeling, and site closure and remediation programs, supporting projects for federal agencies, public entities, and private‑sector clients.
Dan’s expertise includes groundwater flow and contaminant fate and transport modeling, CERCLA and RCRA investigations, landfill compliance, construction dewatering, emergency response, and groundwater–surface water interaction studies. His project experience includes mining and metals‑impacted sites, tailings and acid mine drainage evaluations, and groundwater supply, protection, and mitigation strategies.
He holds an M.S. in Hydrology from the University of Idaho and a B.S. in Water Resources (Hydrogeology) from the State University of New York at Oneonta, and is a Licensed Professional Geologist and Licensed Hydrogeologist in Washington State.
