About Whit Altman

Whit Altman is a Senior Data Scientist at BBJ Group, where she leads the implementation and management of EQuIS to ensure data integrity across environmental datasets. With over a decade of experience in environmental consulting and data science, Whit brings expertise in hydrogeology, remediation, and environmental data analysis. She is actively involved in BBJ Group’s Remediation and Risk and Liability Management Practices through technical evaluation and data-driven insights. Her technical toolkit includes Python, R, SQL, Tableau, and EQuIS.

Before joining BBJ Group, Whit managed complex, multi-phase environmental projects. Her work included statistical analysis of large datasets, regulatory compliance, and developing visualizations to effectively communicate site conditions to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Whit holds an M.S. in Environmental Science and Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and an M.S. in Data Science from Eastern University. She is also certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP).
