Project Overview

BBJ Group developed a comprehensive Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) data management and reporting solution for a publicly-owned company subject to mandatory ESG disclosures. ESG refers to the three central factors in measuring the sustainability and ethical impact of an investment in a company or business. The project centered on creating a secure, online platform for collecting high-volume ESG data from hundreds of operational facilities. Using semi-automated processes, BBJ Group processes this data to calculate key ESG metrics aligned with Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) standards. The platform's in-house development allowed for total customization to meet client needs. Additionally, BBJ Group assists with value chain assessments of suppliers' environmental and social impacts, complying with European Union regulations and supporting Scope 3 greenhouse gas calculations. The project also involves preparing materiality matrices to identify key stakeholder concerns and lay the groundwork for double materiality disclosures required by the EU's Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive.
